A Practice Worth Joining.
We are a small, serious team building something that matters. If you are drawn to doing wealth planning the right way (coordinated, transparent, and plan-led) we want to know you.
Not every advisory firm is the same to work at.
We built this practice around a better model for clients. That same thinking shapes how we run the team.
We Plan. We Do Not Sell.
Our model is fee-based. No product quotas, no commission pressure, no awkward conversations about targets. Every recommendation starts with the plan. You can walk into any client meeting knowing your advice is clean.
Small Team. Real Responsibility.
You will not get lost in a hierarchy here. At Ocean 6, you see how decisions get made, why they get made, and you contribute from day one. The work is substantive and the relationships are long-term.
Long-Term Thinking, Always.
We work in decades, not quarters. Our clients are business owners and incorporated professionals building legacies, and so are we. This is a career, not a posting. We invest in people who are building something.
Coordinated Practice.
Our Eight Pillars cover tax, insurance, estate, corporate structure, retirement, and exit, all in one integrated plan. You will develop depth across disciplines, not just expertise in one product line.
Remote-First.
We serve clients coast-to-coast by video. Our team works remotely, which means you can be located anywhere in Canada outside Quebec. Results matter more than location.
Transparency Is a Feature.
We believe clients deserve to understand exactly what they are paying, what they are getting, and why. That same clarity runs through how we operate as a team, no surprises, no politics, no spin.
What we look for in the people we hire.
We hire for character first, credentials second. The credentials matter, but they are a floor, not a ceiling.
What you have built:
We work at the complex end of personal finance, your background should reflect that.
- CFP designation, or actively pursuing with a clear timeline
- Experience working with incorporated professionals, physicians, dentists, or business owners
- Comfortable owning a client relationship from onboarding to annual review
- Genuine curiosity about tax, corporate structure, insurance, and estate strategy, not just investments
- Able to distil complex planning concepts into clear language for busy clients
How you think:
Skills can be taught. These are harder to build.
- You believe the plan should lead, not the product pitch
- You read client files the night before, not the morning of
- You do not need a manager to tell you what great looks like
- You are building a career in this profession, not passing through it
- You find the regulatory complexity of serving incorporated clients interesting, not exhausting
How we take care of our people.
Compensation
Competitive base salary plus performance-based incentive. Reviewed annually. We pay for the quality of work we ask for.
Benefits
Extended health, dental, and vision coverage. RRSP matching. We are a small team, benefits are meaningful, not an afterthought.
Professional Development
Annual budget for licensing, CE credits, conferences, and coursework. We expect you to keep growing and make it easy to do so.
Remote and Flexible
Work from anywhere in Canada (outside Quebec). No commute. Results-based culture, we care about the quality of your work, not the hours you log on camera.
No roles posted right now.
That said, we are always interested in exceptional people who share our values, especially CFP professionals with experience planning for incorporated business owners and high-income professionals.
If that is you, we would rather hear from you now than post a job later. Send us a short note about who you are and what you are building.
Not looking for work, but looking for a plan?
Our advisory work is separate from our hiring. If you are an incorporated professional or business owner who needs a coordinated wealth plan, let us talk.
