Isn't proactive tax planning what my accountant does?
Accountants are essential, and they are largely structured to be reactive. Most accounting relationships are billed by the return, optimized for compliance, and operate year-by-year. By the time the books are closed, the decisions that would have mattered most are already in the rear-view mirror. Ocean 6 is built for the opposite: proactive, multi-year, plan-driven. What does Ocean 6 not do?
We are personal financial planners and wealth strategists for business owners and incorporated professionals. We design the strategy, coordinate your professionals, and execute the planning, insurance, and investment work in-house. What we do not do: file your corporate tax returns, run your corporate bookkeeping, or offer formal corporate business consulting. Those remain your accountant's and lawyer's domain. We brief them, align them with the long-arc plan, and make sure everything moves together.
Do I have to change my accountant or lawyer to work with Ocean 6?
Not unless you want to. The Do It For You Method is built to coordinate the professionals you already have, and we work with great accountants and lawyers across Canada every week. Some clients arrive with strong existing relationships and we slot in alongside them. Others arrive looking for fresh recommendations, and we introduce them to vetted partners. Either path works. The point is the coordination, not the personnel change.

No. The Do It For You Model is built to coordinate your existing professionals, your accountant, lawyer, banker, even your current insurance broker if you have one. We slot in as the planning lead. If a relationship isn't serving you, we'll say so and offer alternatives, but moving them is your call.
Is Ocean 6 regulated? Where is my money held?
Ocean 6 Investment Solutions Inc. is a registered mutual fund dealer with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) and a member of the Canadian Investor Protection Fund (CIPF). Ocean 6 Wealth Advisory Inc. provides fee-based financial planning and licensed insurance products. Client assets are held by independent third-party custodians, not by Ocean 6 directly.
